HydroCalcs offers free online calculators for people who grow herbs, vegetables and houseplants without soil: DWC, NFT, Kratky and ebb-and-flow growers who need to mix nutrient solution, convert meter readings and plan reservoirs.

Small mistakes in a reservoir can cost a whole crop, so each calculator shows its formula and a worked example. That way you can see how the answer is reached instead of trusting a black box.

The calculators give estimates. Nutrient brands, water quality and plants differ, so always follow your nutrient manufacturer's label and confirm readings with a calibrated EC/PPM and pH meter.
